Over 200 people signed up to take part in the inaugural 12 Days of Christmas Challenge, looking to keep their fitness routines on track during the busy festive period. Of all those who signed up 65 people completed the challenge in full with another 40 falling just short of the required 12 hours of activity over the period ( 1st - 25th Dec). A fantastic result considering many of those who signed up had never taken part in a challenge of this nature in the past.
The activities undertaken were very varied from; walking, running, swimming, cycling, tag rugby, bowling, hiking, pilates, gym class, yoga and lots more. Some challengers completed a lot more than the required 12 hours, others scraped in by the skin of their teeth, many fell just short of the 12 hours and for others well, it was a bit of a false start for whatever reason and didn't really get going at all.
Of those who completed the challenge and the required 12 hours, the challengers below were selceted at random to win some well deserved prizes from Santa's Sleigh.
Plans are afoot for another Challenge in 2019 to help keep those Fitness Resolutions on track.
